About

Our Story

a super serious pic of myself
wedding portrait of me and my husband

Hey there,

My name is Hannah, and I'm the owner of Interlinked. I want to share my story on how it all started. I married my husband in the summer of 2021 and live with our two dogs and one cat. Up until the Spring of 2023 I worked as a Orthodontics Assistant and I was very unhappy... I wanted something to change but didn't know where to start. I've always loved jewelry growing up, but never knew about permanent jewelry. Once I learned how it worked, I loved the idea of it. So I went with some of my family to get my first permanent bracelet. I started to realize how expensive it can get. It got me thinking that there weren't many businesses that provided this craft in the area where we live in. I wanted to be able to provide the same service at an affordable price for everyone, and also loved the idea of starting my own business.

So I started to research. For several months I played with the idea of really starting this business. I brought it up to my husband, family, and friends. They all supported me and loved the idea of it. They knew I was unhappy and needed something in my life to change drastically. I was terrified and I didn't want to start and fail. But I had an amazing support system. So I began to buy products and I eventually purchased my welding machine. I was still working as an assistant and was so exhausted at the end of my days, I just wanted to rest. But I knew if I started it, it could be something incredible. So I tested the jewelry on my friends and family. I didn't open to the public for a while. I wanted to make sure I could find the best products for my customers, and also hone this craft. Some were great and some weren't. After finding products I loved, I did my first pop-up event. I was extremely nervous but my family were so encouraging. I also had one of my best friends and my husband with me there to support me. I will never forget my first customer, she came right up to me and said "I came here just for you!". I felt so touched. She loved her new bracelet.

I knew this was only the beginning, but I was so proud of myself and happy everyone loved their experience with me. It made all the stress and time worth it. About four months later I quit my job and started permanent jewelry full time. There have definitely been ups and downs but I'm so happy that I started Interlinked. To this day, I wish I started sooner.

If you start your own business, my advice is to just do it and give it your all. You won't regret anything!
